If I am claiming other credits (The Federal R&D Tax Credit), what potential impacts can arise from doing so?

Does claiming the Employee Retention Credit impact my ability to claim any other credits (ie. the Federal R&D Tax Credit).

While claiming an employee retention credit may impact or reduce your R&D credit, you will, more often than not, receive a larger benefit from claiming the employee retention credit than if you did not elect to claim it, as you typically receive a larger percentage of your total wages towards your total credit amount with the employee retention credit as compared to the Federal R&D Credit.
